John Shaffer – President of Pensacola Downtown Rotary, gave an update on the Rotary playground at the Community Maritime Park. The Pensacola club is celebrating 100 years as a club. To honor this achievement they decided to put a playground downtown. The playground is shaped like a Rotary Badge. It is handicap accessible. They will also have a 4-way test pavilion. There will be 12 x 12 pavers denoting the people that have donated toward this project. Jim Reeves challenge the club to donate toward the playground and he will match the donation.
