Former Gulf Breeze Rotary President and Preacher Jerry Blacklaw

Jerry said that it is a lot of work to write a book.  His book took 1500 hours/30 hours a week for a year.  As a first time unpublished author it is very hard to get published.  The Publisher gets 80%.   Networking is part of selling books

Rotary started by Paul Harris in 1903.  He got business people together in Chicago for lunch.  He included Tinker, Tailor, Soldier and Spy.  He wanted to get people talking and linking together.  The luncheons would meet in different restaurants.  This is why it is called Rotary because they rotated restaurants.  This was a good way to get to know each other but Paul felt they needed to do something.  The 1at service project in Chicago was a public bathroom,

Jerry wrote Hot Coffee Mississippi.  You can get this on Amazon or Kindle.  This is a about Uncle Weldon at age 10 in 1932 in a small rural town.  There is love and mystery included.

This is Jerry’s last and only novel.
