Type 1 Diabetes Technology

4/20/2015

Tip McKnight and his daughter Alexa spoke on Type 1 Diabetes.
Type 1 Diabetes effects mostly kids.  It is when you are low on insulin.
Type 2 Diabetes is too much insulin.  Both can be life threatening.
There have been many forms of testing.  The current one is WIRELESS DEXCOM SHARE.
Dexcom has now released Dexcom Share- a system that transmits data from diabetics' monitors to their iPhones and iPads. It will work with  the Apple Watch.  With a bit of tweaking, many NightScout users are also able to view the information on a Pebble watch or computer web browser.

Any family that wants aid from Type One Cloud has two options:
1- Tip will configure and provide a Nightscout rig for those who are already using a Dexcom monitor.

2- Tip will provide financial assistance for families who already have a Dexcom system and wish to upgrade to the Dexcom Share technology. He can also help you get the readings from Dexcom Share to Pebble Watches and web browsers. http://www.type1cloud.com/
