Decomposition
            Newspaper takes 6 weeks
            Coke cans take 200 years
            Plastic Bottles take 450 years
            Fishing Line takes 600 years

Plastic never decomposes.  It breaks down into little pieces and wildlife eat it.  Wildlife also becomes tangled in the debris.  Ingestion and entanglement are problems presented by the trash on the shores.

The Marine Club has created bottles for people to keep on their person and pick up debris.  To get the bottles contact the Marine Club at GBHS.  All donations are appreciated
